Old California Restaurant Row is home to San Marco’s thriving restaurant scene, featuring Fish House Vera Cruz, Churchill’s Pub and Grille, Mama Kats Restaurant, and Inland Tavern.
Notable San Marcos developments include the downtown San Marcos Creek District, which aims to redevelop 214 acres into office, residential, and retail space to accommodate a thriving downtown community, once completed. Construction has started on some multifamily elements, but office and retail are currently under revision to accommodate the housing shortage in San Diego county.
