Mission Valley is a river valley community where the San Diego River meets Pacific Ocean.
The region is most known for its retail, entertainment, golfing, and hotels. Mission Valley Mall and Fashion Valley Mall are both popular shopping hubs for the San Diego region. Mission Valley’s most recent development boom has been in multifamily housing.
Multifamily is being developed to address San Diego’s housing shortage. Numerous multifamily projects have been developed over the past decade with many more still in the pipeline. The Town and Country Hotel is slated to be demolished to develop 850 residential units, and the River Walk Golf Club was recently approved to be developed into 4,000 residential units. Several other multifamily developments have already broken ground in the area.
